1. Do your research – understanding the basics of how the markets work, when they open and what moves them. Do not go in blind and guessing on the best times to trade.
2. Have a plan – Create a trading plan and stick to it, know what you are going to trade and more importantly how big your positions are going to be. Risking too much too soon is a very common mistake so take into account the size of your balance and act accordingly.
3. Get used to the trading system – Don’t make stupid mistakes, use the demo account to understand how to place trades and set stops and limits. Once you master the basics then move on to understand more of the trading platform.
